About Ted Wood Plans

Welcome to Ted Wood Plans—your home for clear woodworking guides, project plans, and practical tool reviews.

I’m Teddy Woodward, founder of Ted Wood Plans. I started woodworking as a kid with a rasp and chisel, and I’ve spent years learning plans, milling, joinery, and how to choose tools that actually earn a spot on the bench.

This site exists to answer the questions woodworkers actually ask: how to cut, glue, finish, and build—and which tools are worth buying. Buying guides cover price, durability, performance, and real-user feedback. We can’t purchase every product we cover, so we also draw on buyer reviews, manufacturer specs, and trusted makers’ forums.

Looking for ready-made plans? You can check out the TedsWoodworking library (affiliate link), a third-party plans library that, per its vendor, is searchable by project type and includes cut lists. It is not affiliated with Ted Wood Plans.

If something’s unclear or you want a topic covered, email info@tedwoodplans.com.
